The Hot Springs July 4, Celebration continues Monday:

•6 a.m. – Registration for the 31st annual Firecracker 10K, 5K and mile race at Chautauqua Park.
•7 a.m. – Firecracker 10K and 5K events kick off from Chautauqua Park
•8:15 a.m. – Firecracker mile race begins at Chautauqua Park
•10 a.m.- 4th of July parade, sponsored by the Hot Springs Rotary Club. Begins at Cold Brook Avenue. Contact Greg Beery at 745-6767 for more information.
•11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. – Chamber of Commerce picnic, Mueller Center, $2 donation.
•1 p.m. – Firequacker Duck Race – 1st place wins $750 in Chamber Bucks, guaranteed prizes from Ace Hardware, Lynn’s Dakotamart, Sonny’s Super Foods, Lucy & the Green Wolf, Evans Plunge, Southern Hills Golf Course, Pizza Hut, Putt-4-Fun, Woolly’s, Western Grill, Rockin’ R Ranch, HeartSong Quilts, Coffee Cup Fuel Stop, Hot Springs Housing and other businesses.

•Dusk – Fireworks at the city’s landfill, conditions permitting.
